  • Or Launch Force Quit Window: press the combination Cmd + Opt + Esc, select MediaGet and click on the Force Quit button in the windows;

  • Negative Activity Monitor: Launch the Activity Monitor on Dock >> Click on the Network tab and select processes associated with MediaGet >> Click on the Quit Process icon >> In a pop-up window, click on the Quit button to confirm the action.


2. Drag it in Application folder

Most of you might know about how to remove unwanted app by Drag-and-Drop, that is, find & drag the target in Application folder to the Trash on Dock, then the icon of the target will disappear in Application folder, but it could only delete the icon of the app, you still need to do more for completely remove MediaGet.

3. Delete the Library file

  • Open the Finder >> Go to the Menu Bar, open the “Go” menu, and select “Go to Folder…
  • And then enter the path: ~/Library >> Search for any files or folders with the program’s name or developer’s name in the MediaGet 
  • Once it has showed up, right click to delete it.

Check carefully these folders for the traces of MediaGet:

~/Library/Application Support

saved app state



Remember to be very careful when clean up the Library files on macOS.

Warning: Do not delete the wrong target in Library folder, or it will cost the serious damage on your device, nor to miss any of the files of MediaGet, or it will leave some trace behind.
