2) How to remove all R from the system?<\/p>\n

Run the following in the Terminal:<\/p>\n

sudo rm -rf \/Library\/Frameworks\/R.framework<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And delete R.app from wherever you installed it (usually the Application folder)<\/p>\n

If you installed additional tools (gcc 4.0.3) and you want to remove those, also run:<\/p>\n

sudo rm -rf \/usr\/local\/gcc4.0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If you want to remove a specific R version, look into:<\/p>\n

\/Library\/Frameworks\/R.framework\/Versions <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

and delete the version you don’t like. Adjust the “Current” softlink or use RSwitch to select another R version.<\/p>\n

Option II. Using Drag-and-Drop to Uninstall R for Mac<\/h3>\n

  • Search for any files or folders with the program\u2019s name R<\/strong>,<\/li>\n
  • or developer\u2019s name in the R-project<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
